Operations & maintenance

Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, strong cleaners, or abrasive materials that can degrade the polycarbonate shell and graphics.
Clean the face shield with lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap; dry gently with a soft, lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the lens coating — never wipe a dry shield.
If a Pinlock anti-fog insert is fitted, keep both the inner face of the shield and the Pinlock lens surfaces clean and free of grease or moisture to maintain effective anti-fog performance.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads and hand wash them in cool water with a mild detergent; allow all components to air dry fully before refitting.
Operate the drop-down sun visor lever only when it is safe to do so; confirm the visor is fully engaged in either the up or down position before riding.
Store the helmet in a protective bag or hard case, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and fuel or solvent vapours, all of which can accelerate deterioration of the liner foam and shell.
Inspect the chin strap, buckle, and retention system regularly for fraying, corrosion, or wear; clean with warm soapy water and allow to dry before use.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, regardless of whether external damage is visible — the EPS liner absorbs energy by deforming internally and cannot be relied upon after a hard knock.
As a general guideline, consider replacing the helmet every five years from the date of manufacture, or earlier if the shell, liner, or retention system shows signs of deterioration.
