Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and warm water; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, brake fluid, or paint thinners as these degrade the polycarbonate shell and graphics.
Clean the drop-down sun visor and face opening area with mild soap and water only; never use ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners, which cause micro-crazing on optical surfaces.
Remove the cheek pads and interior liner for periodic washing — hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent and allow to air-dry completely before re-fitting.
Store the helmet in a helmet bag or padded case on a stable flat surface, away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, and fuel or solvent vapours, which degrade EPS and shell materials over time.
Replace the helmet immediately following any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — the EPS liner absorbs energy through permanent deformation and will not protect effectively a second time.
Inspect the drop-down sun visor mechanism and retention/ratchet system before each use; if the mechanism becomes stiff or does not seat fully, clean the pivot points with a dry cloth and do not force it.
Check the chin strap, fastener, and D-ring or micro-lock buckle for wear or damage before every ride, and replace the strap if any fraying or deformation is found.
Do not apply adhesive stickers, paint, or chemical-based products directly to the shell surface, as these can compromise the structural integrity of the polycarbonate.
