Wipe the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and a mild soap solution; never use petrol, solvents, acetone or abrasive cleaners, as these degrade the shell, finish and visor coatings.
Remove the cheek pads and crown liner and hand wash in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air dry fully before reinserting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
Clean the visor with warm water and a soft microfibre cloth; never dry-wipe a dirty visor or use abrasive materials, as this permanently scratches the lens surface.
Fit the Pinlock EVO insert to the visor's Pinlock pins when riding in cold, wet or foggy conditions to minimise misting.
Inspect the chin strap webbing and retention buckle regularly for fraying, corrosion or loss of tension; have worn components replaced by an authorised dealer.
Retire and replace the helmet after any significant impact — even with no visible external damage, the EPS liner may be crushed and no longer protective.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical fumes; a breathable helmet bag or the original packaging is suitable.
As a general guide, consider replacing the helmet after five years of use from the date of first wear, as UV exposure, sweat and general wear degrade materials over time regardless of visible condition.
