- Replace the air filter at the interval specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual, or sooner when riding in dusty or sandy conditions.
- Inspect the filter during each routine service for signs of heavy contamination, tears, or deformation — replace immediately if damaged.
- Ensure the filter element is correctly seated and sealed within the airbox before reassembly; any gap can allow unfiltered air into the engine.
- Do not use compressed air to blow out the filter in the reverse direction while installed, as this can force debris deeper into the element.
- Refer to the filter's product documentation to confirm whether the element is a single-use paper type or a cleanable foam/gauze type before attempting any cleaning.
- Store unused filters in their original packaging in a cool, dry location, away from fuel, solvents, and direct sunlight.
