The Hiflofiltro HFA1622 is an OE replacement air filter element for the Honda CB650F, CB650FL and CBR650F range. It drops straight into the standard airbox as a routine service item, so a clogged or overdue filter can be swapped out without modifying the intake or altering fuelling.

Hiflofiltro filter media is developed for modern high-performance engines, and because the element matches the original specification there is no rejetting or remapping required after fitting. A sensible item to keep on the shelf ahead of a scheduled service, or to replace early if you ride regularly in dusty or wet conditions.

  • Check your model and year against the fitment list above before ordering - the HFA1622 is specific to the Honda CB650F/CBR650F family.
  • Replace the element at the interval specified in your Honda owner's or workshop manual, and sooner if you ride regularly in dust, sand, gravel or heavy rain.
  • Inspect at every service: hold the element up to a light source and replace it if the pleats are dark and clogged, oil-soaked, split, or if the sealing rim is distorted.
  • Before fitting, wipe out the airbox and intake tract so grit and leaf litter can't be drawn into the engine once the new element is in place.
  • Seat the element squarely so the sealing rim contacts the housing evenly all the way around, then refit the airbox lid with every screw, clip and duct secured - any gap lets unfiltered air bypass the filter.
  • Do not wash, oil, tap out or blow the element clean with compressed air; this can open up the media, damage the pleats and let dirt through.
  • If the element becomes saturated after riding through deep water or sustained heavy rain, replace it - a soaked filter restricts airflow and can affect running.
  • Store spares flat in their original packaging in a dry place, away from fuel, solvents and direct sunlight, and avoid stacking anything on top that could crush the pleats.
  • No rejetting, remapping or other fuelling changes are needed when fitting this element to a standard machine.
