The Five HG-1 EVO is a heated winter glove built for riders who keep going once the temperature drops. A full-grain goat leather and nylon shell is paired with Five's Dual Control Heating Technology, a 5_DRYTECH weatherproof breathable membrane and PrimaLoft insulation through both the topside and the palm, so warmth is managed across the whole hand rather than just the back of it.
It suits commuters, tourers and adventure riders facing cold mornings, alpine runs and long stints in the wind. Protection is not an afterthought either: an ERGO PROTECH metacarpal-knuckle protector and a honeycombed palm slider back up the leather, and the glove carries a CE KP1 rating.
Practical touches round it out — an OverSizeCuff that goes over a jacket sleeve, a water-resistant battery pocket, touchscreen-ready fingertips and a visor wiper on the left hand.

- Fit the OverSizeCuff over your jacket sleeve and secure the Single Closure System so the cuff seals against wind and water spray.
- Remove the batteries from the cuff pockets before cleaning, and keep the battery connectors clean and dry.
- Spot clean the leather with a soft damp cloth and a little mild soap; do not use solvents, petrol-based cleaners, bleach or strong detergents.
- Do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean or wring the gloves — twisting can damage the heating elements and membrane.
- Air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources such as heaters, exhausts or open flame; drying too fast will stiffen and crack the leather.
- Apply a leather conditioner sparingly and occasionally to the goat leather to keep it supple; avoid saturating the glove.
- Store the gloves flat or lightly shaped rather than folded, in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, so the heating wiring is not creased.
- Out of season, store batteries separately from the gloves in a cool, dry place and top up the charge periodically rather than leaving them fully flat.
- Charge only with the charger supplied for these batteries, and stop using a battery that is swollen, damaged or will no longer hold charge.
- Expect a short break-in period as the goat leather moulds to your hand.
- Keep the fingertip and thumb touchscreen panels clean for reliable screen response, and keep the Clear Vision Pad free of grit so it does not scratch your visor.
- Inspect the knuckle protector, palm slider and stitching regularly; replace the gloves after a crash or if the protectors or leather are damaged.
