- Clean the screen using mild soap and lukewarm water with a soft, lint-free or microfibre cloth — never use paper towels or abrasive materials that can scratch the surface.
- Avoid petroleum-based solvents, acetone, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can craze or permanently cloud the screen.
- Remove insects and road grime promptly; dried residue becomes abrasive and can cause fine scratches when wiped dry.
- If fine surface scuffs appear, use a plastic-specific polish or scratch remover to restore clarity.
- If the screen is removed for storage, wrap it in soft material and keep it flat in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight to prevent warping or discolouration.
- Periodically check all mounting hardware to confirm the screen is seated securely before riding.
