The Givi D5138ST is a model-specific transparent windscreen made for the BMW S1000XR (2020-2021). It fits in place of the standard screen, so no separate spoiler bracket or universal fitting kit is needed.
At 55.5 x 46 cm (H x L) it is a taller screen than a low sports item, which suits riders spending time on highways, commuting or covering longer distances on their S1000XR. The clear, untinted finish keeps the bike's original look and the view ahead unchanged.
Fitment note: this screen is designed for the 2020-2021 S1000XR only. Please confirm your model year before ordering.

- Remove the original windscreen first, then transfer or reuse the standard fasteners and any rubber grommets or washers exactly as they were fitted.
- Do the mounting bolts up evenly and only to a firm setting - overtightening can stress or crack the screen around the mounting holes.
- Peel off any protective film only after fitting is complete to avoid scratching the surface during installation.
- Wash with clean water and a mild detergent using a soft cloth or sponge, working from the top down; rinse grit away before wiping so trapped dirt does not scratch the surface.
- Avoid solvents, petrol, alcohol-based glass cleaners, ammonia products and abrasive pads or paper towels.
- Remove insects and road grime by soaking with warm soapy water first rather than scrubbing them off dry.
- Do not rest the bare screen face-down on hard surfaces when it is off the bike, and store a spare or removed screen flat and padded, out of direct sunlight.
- Re-check the mounting hardware for tightness after the first few rides and periodically thereafter, particularly after highway or high-speed use.
- Inspect regularly for stone chips or hairline cracks around the mounting points and replace the screen if any are found.
- Avoid high-pressure washers directed at the screen and its mounts.
