The GIVI FB1178 is a model-specific upper fairing bracket for the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports. It mounts behind the windscreen and puts a sat-nav or smartphone up in the rider's natural line of sight, above the instrument panel, so there's no need to drop your eyes to a device mid-corner or mid-track.

Designed for adventure and touring riders who navigate as they ride, it uses a 12 mm bar section that accepts GIVI's device holders directly, or the machined aluminium S902A support for a cleaner, more technical look. The bracket is engineered to work with both the standard Honda screen and GIVI's own screens.

Device holders, sat-nav adaptors and phones are not included and are sold separately; product images are illustrative.

Fit the bracket using the instructions supplied by GIVI, checking that it does not foul the screen, screen adjustment or steering lock-to-lock before riding.
Tighten fasteners evenly and progressively; avoid over-tightening, which can distort the bracket or damage the fairing mounting points.
Clamp holders only onto the 12 mm bar section, and confirm your holder or adaptor is rated for that diameter.
Re-check all fasteners after the first ride and periodically thereafter — engine and road vibration, corrugations and gravel work can loosen hardware over time.
Route charging and power cables so they cannot snag on the bracket, screen or bars, and leave slack for full steering movement.
Keep the device load light and well supported; heavy or unbalanced devices increase vibration and stress on the mount and holder.
Clean with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry thoroughly. Avoid solvents, petrol, abrasive pads and strong degreasers.
Do not aim a pressure washer directly at the bracket or holder, and remove your phone or sat-nav before washing the bike.
Inspect the bracket regularly for corrosion, cracks, bent sections or elongated mounting holes, and replace it if any damage is found.
Remove your device when parking in public or in wet weather unless the holder is rated for exposure.
