The GIVI SRA5143 is a model-specific aluminium rear rack designed for the BMW R 1300 GS from 2024 onwards. It provides a solid mounting platform at the rear of the bike for a GIVI Monokey top case, with the mounting plate included so the rack is ready to accept a compatible case.

It suits R 1300 GS riders adding luggage capacity for commuting, touring or adventure travel, and its aluminium construction keeps the look in step with the bike's factory styling.

  • Fit the rack using the instructions supplied by GIVI for this model, and tighten all fasteners to the specified torque.
  • Re-check all mounting bolts after the first ride with luggage fitted, then periodically as part of routine servicing.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load specified by GIVI for the rack and by BMW for the motorcycle's rear subframe, and remember that load limits reduce at higher speeds.
  • Distribute weight low and evenly inside the top case, and avoid carrying heavy items high or far to the rear, as this affects handling.
  • Before each ride, confirm the top case is fully seated on the Monokey plate and that the lock is engaged.
  • Clean the rack and plate with warm water and a mild detergent, then dry thoroughly; avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners and abrasive pads.
  • Keep the Monokey plate's latch mechanism and lock free of grit, and wash off road salt promptly to protect the aluminium and hardware.
  • Remove the top case when the bike is not in use for long periods, and inspect the rack for cracks, deformation or loose fasteners after any impact or drop.
