The Givi D4121ST is a model-specific replacement screen for the Kawasaki Versys-X 300, made to sit noticeably taller than the standard item so more of the airflow is lifted clear of your chest, shoulders and helmet. It fits in place of the original screen, so the bike keeps its factory lines and there is no cutting or fabrication involved.

It suits riders who spend real time at highway speeds — commuters on open motorway runs, weekend tourers, and taller riders who find the standard screen sits too low to do much. The transparent finish keeps the view ahead clear rather than forcing you to look through tinted plastic.

Screen only — the original Kawasaki screen is removed and replaced.

  • Remove the original Kawasaki screen and fit the D4121ST using the supplied hardware, following the included instructions — no drilling or modification of the fairing is required.
  • Start all fasteners by hand and tighten them evenly and lightly; over-tightening bolts through the screen is the most common cause of stress cracks around the mounting holes.
  • Retain and use any supplied rubber washers, bushes or grommets — they isolate the screen from vibration and must not be left out.
  • Re-check the mounting bolts for tightness after the first ride, then periodically as part of your normal pre-ride checks, and again after any long or rough-road trip.
  • Clean with plenty of clean water and a mild soap using a soft microfibre cloth or sponge; work gently and rinse often so grit is floated off rather than dragged across the surface.
  • Soften insects and road grime first by laying a wet cloth over them for a few minutes, then wipe away — never scrub dried-on bugs or wipe the screen dry.
  • Avoid solvents, petrol, methylated spirits, ammonia-based glass cleaners, abrasive polishes, scourers and automatic car-wash brushes, all of which can craze or dull the plastic.
  • A dedicated plastic polish intended for motorcycle screens can be used to reduce light surface scratches and restore clarity; test on a small area first.
  • Inspect the screen regularly for cracks, crazing or elongated mounting holes, particularly around the fixing points, and replace it if any are found.
  • Expect airflow and helmet buffeting to change with the taller screen — ride at moderate speeds first to get a feel for it before committing to long highway stints.
  • When the bike is stored, keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight where practical, and take care not to rest covers, helmets or luggage against the screen.
