  • Follow GIVI's vehicle-specific fitting instructions supplied with the frames; locate all OEM subframe mounting points before installation.
  • Use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten all mounting bolts to the values specified in the GIVI installation sheet — do not over-tighten.
  • Inspect all frame-to-motorcycle and case-to-frame connection points for looseness every 1,000 km or at each service interval.
  • Check frames visually for cracks, deformation or corrosion before each tour, particularly after any incident or heavy off-road use.
  • Clean frames with a mild detergent and water; rinse thoroughly and dry to prevent corrosion, especially in wet or coastal conditions.
  • Apply a light coat of corrosion-inhibiting wax or protective spray to unpainted metal surfaces periodically, particularly during winter storage.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load rating of the side cases mounted to these frames; distribute weight evenly between left and right cases.
  • If the frames are removed for any reason, inspect the motorcycle's subframe mounting points for wear before re-fitting.

Not a Givi product

Not real impressed by this product. Although it does what it’s designed to do, the simplicity of installing it was absolutely non existent. Nothing fit the way it was supposed to. I don’t think snapping bolts, stripping threads and having to use big clamps to hold things together was part of the installation process. No I won’t be sending them back as they are now a permanent fix on my bike. A quality, quality control would go a hell of a long way.
