The GIVI Matterhorn MTN39A is a 39-litre motorcycle top case with an aluminium outer shell in a silver finish, built on GIVI's Monolock mounting system. It suits riders after secure, lockable storage for commuting, weekend rides and light touring, with the rugged, squared-off look of an adventure alloy case.

It is supplied with a universal mounting plate, so it can be fitted to a wide range of compatible rear racks and carriers rather than being tied to one model. The case detaches from the plate with the key, so you can carry it off the bike and refit it in seconds.

Fit the universal plate to a rack rated for the load and tighten all fasteners evenly before first use.
Check the plate and rack bolts for tightness after the first few rides, then periodically — vibration can loosen hardware over time.
Confirm the case is fully latched onto the plate and the lock is turned before setting off; a partially engaged case can detach in transit.
Do not exceed the maximum load stated by GIVI for this case and its mounting plate, and keep heavy items low and as far forward in the case as possible.
Expect altered handling with a loaded top case, particularly at speed and in crosswinds; ride accordingly.
Wash the aluminium shell with mild soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry it off; avoid abrasive pads, solvents and strong degreasers that can mark the alloy finish.
Keep the lock barrel clean and use a light spray of lock lubricant if the key becomes stiff — avoid heavy greases that attract grit.
Keep the lid seal clean and free of dirt so it continues to close evenly; treat the case as water-resistant rather than fully waterproof and use a dry bag for anything sensitive in heavy rain.
Remove the case and store it indoors when not in use, and avoid leaving valuables in it when the bike is parked.
Inspect the shell, hinges and latches for damage after any drop or impact and replace damaged parts before further use.
