The GIVI TN2165 is a model-specific set of engine crash guards developed for the Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid (2022). It frames the lower engine area to help absorb and spread the impact of a tip-over or low-speed drop — the kind that happens on gravel, in ruts, or at a standstill on soft ground.

It suits adventure and dual-sport riders who take a big bike beyond the bitumen, as well as commuters who simply want protection against carpark and driveway mishaps. Being a dedicated fitment rather than a universal bar set, it follows the contours of the World Raid's chassis and bodywork.

Fitment note: this guard is designed for the World Raid variant. It is not a substitute for the equivalent part on the standard Ténéré 700, so please confirm your model before ordering.

  • Fit the guards using the manufacturer's supplied instructions and hardware, following the tightening sequence and torque figures given in that documentation.
  • Re-check all mounting bolts after the first ride or two, then periodically — vibration and corrugations can loosen fasteners over time.
  • Inspect the guards after any fall or impact; replace them if you find bends, cracks, deformed mounting tabs or elongated bolt holes, as a deformed guard can transfer load into the frame rather than absorb it.
  • Wash with warm water and a mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive pads, aggressive degreasers and high-pressure jets aimed directly at mounting points and fasteners.
  • Touch up any deep scratches or chips promptly to keep moisture off the exposed metal, particularly if you ride in coastal, wet or salted-road conditions.
  • Check for corrosion around bolt heads and mounting brackets during routine servicing, and apply a light protective spray to fasteners if the bike lives outdoors.
  • Make sure the guards do not foul the forks at full lock, contact bodywork, or restrict airflow to the radiator once fitted.
  • Don't use the guards as a lifting, tie-down or jacking point unless the manufacturer's instructions specifically permit it.
  • Remove or loosen the guards as required when accessing the engine, oil filter or exhaust for servicing, rather than forcing tools past them.
