The Givi TN4133 is a model-specific engine guard designed for the Kawasaki KLR650 S from 2023 onwards. It fits around the sides of the engine to add a layer of protection to the motor and lower bodywork in a tip-over or low-speed fall.

It suits KLR650 S owners who ride gravel, fire trails and remote touring routes, where a dropped bike is a realistic possibility and a bent case or cracked cover is an expensive way to end a trip. Because the kit is engineered for this one model, the guard follows the lines of the bike rather than sitting on it as a generic add-on.

Note: this listing covers the guard only and is specific to the KLR650 S variant, 2023 model year and later.

  • Fit using the instructions supplied with the kit, and only to the model and year range listed — mounting points differ between KLR650 variants.
  • Tighten all fasteners evenly and re-check them after the first ride, then at regular service intervals, as vibration can loosen mounting hardware over time.
  • Check clearance to bodywork, radiator, hoses, cables and the exhaust after fitting, and re-check at full steering lock in both directions.
  • Wash with mild soapy water and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents and high-pressure washing directly at the mounting points.
  • Dry the guard and mounting brackets after wet or muddy rides, and check for trapped grit or moisture where the brackets meet the frame.
  • Touch up any paint chips or scratches promptly to protect the finish from corrosion, particularly if you ride in coastal or salted conditions.
  • Inspect the guard and its mounts after any fall or impact — replace any bent, cracked or deformed part rather than attempting to straighten it, as impact loads can also affect the mounting points.
  • Do not modify, drill or weld the guard, and do not use it as a lifting, jacking or tie-down point unless the fitting instructions specifically allow it.
