The Givi TN5119 is a model-specific engine guard for the BMW S1000XR built between 2015 and 2019. It is formed from 25 mm diameter steel tube and finished in black, forming a protective frame around the sides of the engine and lower fairing area.
Because it is a vehicle-specific part rather than a universal kit, the shape and mounting points are made for this model and model year range only. It suits S1000XR riders who commute, tour or carry luggage and want a straightforward layer of protection for the bike in a tip-over or low-speed drop.

- Fit using the instructions supplied with the guard, and tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values rather than estimating.
- Re-check every mounting bolt after the first ride and then at regular service intervals, as engine and frame fasteners can loosen with vibration.
- Wash with warm water and a mild detergent, then dry thoroughly; avoid harsh solvents and abrasive pads on the black finish.
- Avoid aiming a high-pressure washer directly at the mounting points and fastener threads.
- Touch up any chips or deep scratches promptly so the steel underneath does not begin to corrode, especially in coastal or salted-road conditions.
- After any drop or impact, inspect the guard and its mounting points; replace bent or cracked tubing and any damaged hardware rather than attempting to straighten it.
- Do not use the guard as a lifting point, tie-down anchor or footstep.
