The GIVI TAN01 is a 2.5 litre auxiliary jerry can designed to travel with GIVI's Trekker and Trekker Outback side cases. It is homologated for carrying petrol, water or oil, so it can serve as a reserve fuel supply on long stages between servos, a water carrier for camping, or a top-up oil container on extended trips.
Its slim 170 x 235 x 95 mm body is shaped to sit neatly against a case rather than adding bulk to your panniers, making it a practical choice for adventure and touring riders who need extra range or capacity without sacrificing luggage space.
Please note: this is the jerry can only. Mounting requires the matching GIVI bracket — E148 for Trekker Outback OBK37 and OBK48 cases, or E149 for Trekker TRK33 and TRK46 cases — and the brackets and cases are sold separately.

- Mount only with the correct GIVI holder — E148 for Trekker Outback OBK37/OBK48 or E149 for Trekker TRK33/TRK46; the can is not designed to be strapped on without its bracket.
- Check the bracket fasteners and case mounting points before each ride and re-check after the first few hours of riding, as vibration can loosen hardware.
- Fill on level ground and leave some headspace so the contents can expand in heat, then make sure the cap is fully seated and tightened before setting off.
- Wipe up any spills straight away and rinse the outside with clean water; clean with mild soapy water and a soft cloth, and avoid solvents, petrol-soaked rags or abrasive scourers on the exterior.
- Dedicate the can to one fluid where you can — a can that has held petrol or oil should not later be used for drinking water.
- Inspect the body, seams and cap seal for cracks, distortion or fuel weeping before each trip, and stop using the can if you find damage.
- Store it empty, dry and out of direct sunlight when it is not in use, and empty it before long periods of storage rather than leaving fuel to go stale inside.
- Do not use the mounted can as a step, handhold or tie-down point, and do not overtighten the cap or bracket bolts.
- Check your state or territory road rules on carrying fuel on a motorcycle, and never fill or empty the can near an ignition source.
