Goldfren Brake Fluid - DOT 4 (500ml)

GOLDfren DOT 4 is a premium-specification hydraulic fluid for the brake and clutch systems of motorcycles, cars and commercial vehicles. It is a non-petroleum-based glycol ether fluid, suitable for any system where a DOT 4 or DOT 3 fluid is specified.

The 500ml bottle suits a full flush and bleed on most bikes, or topping up across a season. A typical dry boiling point of 269°C and wet boiling point of 159°C give useful headroom against fade under repeated hard braking, and the fluid mixes safely with other brake and clutch fluids meeting the same standards.

Not for use in systems designed for mineral oil (such as certain Citroën models). If you are unsure, check your vehicle handbook before use.

Confirm your master cylinder cap or vehicle handbook calls for DOT 4 or DOT 3 fluid before use; do not use in systems designed for mineral oil.
Use only fresh fluid from a sealed bottle — DOT 4 is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the air, which lowers the boiling point.
Reseal the cap immediately after pouring and store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Do not reuse fluid that has been bled out of a system, and discard any fluid left in an opened bottle rather than keeping it long term.
Brake fluid damages paint, plastics and powder coating — cover surrounding bodywork, and flush any spills straight away with plenty of water.
When bleeding, keep the reservoir topped up so air is not drawn into the system, and bleed until clean fluid runs clear of bubbles.
Replace the fluid at the interval specified by your vehicle manufacturer, or sooner if it has darkened or the lever feels spongy.
Can be mixed with other brake and clutch fluids meeting FMVSS 116 DOT 4/DOT 3, SAE J1703/J1704 or ISO 4925 — do not mix with silicone (DOT 5) or mineral oil fluids.
Keep away from children, wear eye protection when bleeding, and dispose of used fluid through a workshop or council waste-oil facility.
