Fulbat Gel Battery - FTX5L-BS

The Fulbat FTX5L-BS is a sealed gel (VRLA) 12V battery for motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and other small-capacity powersports machines that take this battery type.

It arrives factory activated and ready to fit, so there is no acid handling, no initial preparation and no electrolyte topping up during its life. The gel electrolyte is immobilised and the case is sealed, making the battery non-spillable and suitable for machines where the battery sits in a tight or non-upright location.

Check the battery's state of charge before first fitting — batteries self-discharge on the shelf, and a top-up charge before installation helps it reach full service life.
Charge only with a charger that has a gel, AGM or sealed lead-acid mode; avoid high-current boost or "jump" settings, which can damage a sealed gel battery.
Never open the case, drill it or try to add electrolyte — it is sealed for life and has no serviceable cells.
When removing the battery, disconnect the negative terminal first and reconnect it last to avoid shorting against the frame.
Keep terminals clean and the bolts firm but not overtightened; a light smear of terminal grease after connecting helps prevent corrosion.
Wipe the case with a dry or lightly damp cloth and keep the top free of dirt and moisture, which can cause slow discharge across the terminals.
If the machine is stored or ridden only occasionally, use a compatible maintenance charger or charge the battery periodically; leaving it flat causes sulfation and permanent capacity loss.
Store off the bike in a cool, dry place away from direct heat, and recharge before returning it to service.
Dispose of the old battery at a lead-acid battery recycling or collection point — never in household waste.
