The FMF Racing MegaBomb is a stainless steel header and mid-pipe assembly (part number 44449) built as a direct replacement for the standard front section on Yamaha's 250cc four-stroke competition models. It fits the YZ250F 2019–2026, YZ250FX 2020–2026 and WR250F 2020–2024.
It suits motocross, enduro and off-road riders who want to upgrade the front half of the exhaust system, either on its own or paired with an FMF slip-on muffler. The MegaBomb name refers to FMF's expansion chamber built into the head pipe, and the stainless steel construction is chosen for its durability in racing conditions.

- Confirm your bike's exact model and year before fitting - this pipe is fitment specific.
- Fit while the engine is completely cold, and check that the exhaust gasket or seal at the head is in good condition before assembly.
- Leave all joints loose during assembly, align the full system from the head to the muffler, then tighten evenly so the pipe is not pulled into strain.
- Re-check the header fasteners and muffler springs after the first heat cycle and periodically after that, as fasteners can loosen with heat and vibration.
- Avoid touching the pipe with bare hands before riding; oils and fingerprints can bake into the stainless surface and cause staining.
- Let the pipe cool fully, then clean with a soft cloth and a mild detergent or a stainless-safe cleaner; avoid harsh abrasives and steel wool, which will scratch the finish.
- After wet or muddy rides, rinse mud off the pipe promptly and dry it to reduce staining and surface corrosion.
- Inspect regularly for dents, cracks and leaks at the joints, particularly after a crash, and check that the pipe still has clearance from the frame, radiator and plastics.
- Do not use high-pressure water directly into the exhaust outlet, and block the outlet when washing the bike.
- Store the bike in a dry area; if it is standing for long periods, a plug in the outlet helps keep moisture and debris out of the system.
