Clean the shell with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol or strong detergents, which can degrade the shell and liner materials.
Remove and hand-wash the interior liner and cheek pads in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinserting — do not use a clothes dryer.
Wipe the visor peak with a damp cloth; do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals on the peak, as this can cause surface crazing.
Inspect the retention system (chin strap, buckle) before every ride for fraying, cracking or looseness.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — the EPS liner is a single-use energy absorber.
Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and strong UV exposure, which degrade EPS and shell integrity over time.
Avoid hanging the helmet by its chin strap for extended periods, as sustained tension can distort the strap hardware.
Do not apply paint, stickers with solvent-based adhesives, or aerosol products directly to the shell without confirming compatibility, as solvents can weaken carbon composite laminates.
