The Alpinestars Faster V4 is a short riding shoe built on decades of Alpinestars development at the top levels of motorsport, brought down to a low-profile silhouette you can ride and walk in all day. A seamless upper with thermo-welded panels keeps weight and bulk down, while a 3D mesh lining and padded tongue and collar handle warm-weather comfort on commutes and weekend rides.

Protection is built into the structure rather than bolted on: medial dual-density ankle protectors sit between the upper and the padded lining, the internal toe box and heel counter are reinforced beneath the upper, and TPU and TPR elements reinforce the ankle, lateral calf, heel counter and toe box. A traditional lace closure is backed by an ergonomic TPR strap with adjustable hook-and-loop for a secure hold.

Well suited to riders who want certified road protection in a casual, urban-looking shoe for commuting, naked bikes and everyday street riding, in a black and white colourway.

Lace the shoe first for a snug base fit, then close the TPR strap over the top so the hook-and-loop sits flat and fully engaged before riding.
Brush off loose dust and grit after riding, then wipe the microfibre upper with a soft cloth dampened in cool water with a little mild soap; do not use solvents, petrol, brake cleaner, bleach or harsh detergents.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and never dry the shoes on a heater, exhaust or in direct sun — heat can distort the TPU, TPR and thermo-welded panels.
If the shoes get wet, remove the EVA footbeds, loosen the laces and open the shoe up, then air dry slowly at room temperature with the footbeds out; loosely stuffing with paper helps hold the shape.
Remove and clean the anatomical EVA footbeds separately; replace them when they flatten or the Lycra top lining wears through.
Keep the 3D mesh panels clear of caked mud so they can still breathe, and clean the microsuede heel area gently with a soft brush rather than soaking it.
Inspect the TPR toe sliders, heel counter and lateral calf elements regularly, and check the laces and hook-and-loop strap for fraying or loss of grip — replace worn laces rather than riding with a compromised closure.
Check sole tread and grip regularly; once the tread is worn smooth or the sole is separating, retire or have the shoes resoled by a qualified repairer.
Store in a cool, dry, ventilated place out of direct sunlight, not compressed under other gear, so the ankle protectors and structure keep their shape.
Retire the shoes after a crash or heavy impact, even if the damage looks cosmetic — the internal reinforcement and ankle protectors may no longer perform as certified.
