The Alpinestars Faster V3 Air is a perforated leather sport jacket built for warm-weather road and sport riding. Premium multi-panel bovine leather does the abrasion work, while localised perforations on the arms and perforated panels across the front and back keep air moving at speed.

Extensive HRSF stretch panelling through the chest, back, abdomen, underarms, shoulder blades and inner arms lets the jacket move with you, and the sport fit with pre-curved arms and ergonomic elbows settles naturally into the riding position rather than fighting it. A race-derived silhouette and clean finishing details keep the look modern off the bike.

It arrives with shoulder and elbow armour fitted, is Tech-Air 5 and Tech-Air 3 ready, and takes optional chest and back protectors — so it suits riders who want a summer leather that can be built up to full track-day protection.

Remove the shoulder and elbow protectors before any cleaning, and refit them fully seated in their pockets before riding.
Wipe the leather with a soft, damp cloth and allow it to dry naturally; do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean or use solvents, petrol-based cleaners or harsh detergents.
Treat the leather periodically with a leather-specific conditioner to stop it drying out, and test on a hidden area first — avoid heavy products on the perforated panels so the holes stay open.
Dry the jacket away from direct sunlight, heaters and exhausts; forced heat will shrink and harden leather.
Expect a short break-in period as the leather and HRSF stretch panels mould to your shape; the sport fit is meant to feel snug upright and relax in the riding position.
The perforated leather is a warm-weather shell, not a waterproof one — the waterproof inner compartment protects phone, wallet and keys, so carry a separate rain layer for wet rides.
Open the side torso zip vents in traffic and hot weather; close them at highway speed to cut wind noise and buffeting.
Adjust the hook waist tabs and welded wrist closures so the armour sits over the joints and cannot shift in a slide.
Store on a wide, shaped hanger in a cool, dry, ventilated place — never folded or compressed for long periods, and never stored damp.
Check seams, stitching, zips and the shoulder sliders regularly; replace the jacket after a significant crash even if the damage looks superficial, as abrasion and impact degrade protective performance.
If fitting a Tech-Air 5 or Tech-Air 3 system, follow the airbag's own instructions and allow room for the vest to inflate when choosing your size.
