EXPLORER-ADV (BLACK / GREY / ORANGE)

The Berik Explorer-ADV is a heavy-duty adventure-touring jacket for riders who mix sealed roads with gravel and dirt. It is built around a 500D polyester outer shell with a waterproof coating, and pairs a zip-out thermal liner with a zip-out waterproof membrane so the one jacket can be run through most of the year.

It suits ADV and touring riders who want genuine all-season flexibility without changing jackets between seasons — commuting through a wet week, then heading out on a multi-day trip where conditions can turn. Removable CE shoulder and elbow armour, leather shoulder panels and reinforced high-wear areas handle the protective side, while the fold-open chest vents and removable rear vent panel let you dump heat when the pace or the temperature climbs.

Remove the shoulder and elbow protectors, the zip-out thermal lining and the zip-out waterproof membrane before any washing — armour and liners should never go through a wash cycle fitted in the shell.
For everyday care, sponge the outer shell with cool water and a mild detergent, then rinse and air dry; avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners, bleach and fabric softeners, which can strip the waterproof coating.
Treat the leather shoulder panels separately with a leather-safe cleaner or conditioner rather than soaking them.
Do not tumble dry, iron or dry the jacket near a heater, exhaust or open flame — direct heat can damage the coating, membrane and reflective detailing.
Hang the jacket to dry naturally after wet rides, with the membrane and thermal liner unzipped and hung separately so all layers dry through.
Check that the protectors are seated correctly in their pockets before each ride, and refit them after washing or after removing a liner.
Run the membrane in for wet or cold rides and take it out for hot, dry conditions; use the fold-open chest vents, 2-way cuff zips and removable rear vent panel to manage airflow instead of riding with the jacket open.
Keep zips clean of dust and grit and lubricate them occasionally with a zip wax or silicone stick, particularly after dirt-road riding.
Store on a broad hanger in a cool, dry, ventilated place out of direct sunlight; do not store the jacket damp or compressed.
Inspect seams, stitching, closures and armour after any crash or heavy impact and replace damaged components — impact protectors are not designed for repeated crashes.
