- Switch off the ignition and allow the instrument cluster area to cool fully before attempting a globe replacement.
- Handle each globe with a clean cloth or disposable gloves — skin oils transferred to the glass can create hot spots and reduce service life.
- Confirm the replacement globe matches the original 12V 5W T10 wedge specification before installation.
- Press the wedge base firmly and squarely into the socket until fully seated; a loose fit can cause intermittent lighting or premature failure.
- Do not exceed the rated 5W wattage — fitting a higher-wattage globe into an instrument socket can damage wiring or surrounding trim.
- Store unused globes in their original packaging, away from moisture and impact, to prevent breakage.
- Dispose of blown globes responsibly in accordance with local council waste guidelines.
- Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
