Switch off the ignition and allow the instrument cluster area to cool fully before attempting a globe replacement.
Handle each globe with a clean cloth or disposable gloves — skin oils transferred to the glass can create hot spots and reduce service life.
Confirm the replacement globe matches the original 12V 5W T10 wedge specification before installation.
Press the wedge base firmly and squarely into the socket until fully seated; a loose fit can cause intermittent lighting or premature failure.
Do not exceed the rated 5W wattage — fitting a higher-wattage globe into an instrument socket can damage wiring or surrounding trim.
Store unused globes in their original packaging, away from moisture and impact, to prevent breakage.
Dispose of blown globes responsibly in accordance with local council waste guidelines.
