Always handle the glass envelope with a clean cloth or disposable gloves — skin oils deposited on the bulb surface accelerate localised overheating and premature failure.
Disconnect the vehicle's ignition and allow any existing bulb to cool completely before beginning removal or installation.
Verify that your vehicle's headlight housing accepts an H7 fitting and that its electrical circuit is rated for 55W before purchasing.
Align the locating tab or retaining wire correctly during fitment; forcing the bulb into an incorrect orientation can crack the base.
After installation, test the globe on both high and low beam circuits (as applicable) before reassembling the headlight surround or fairing.
Store unused globes in their original packaging in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and vibration.
Inspect the headlight wiring connector for corrosion or heat damage whenever replacing a globe, and clean or replace the connector if needed.
Do not operate the bulb outside its rated 12V supply — overvoltage significantly shortens halogen globe life.
