  • Confirm fitment first: match part number SRK122 to your exact make, model and year in the EBC application catalogue before opening or fitting the kit.
  • If the kit is fitted to a wet clutch, pre-soak the friction plates in the engine oil specified by your motorcycle manufacturer before assembly, as directed in the fitting instructions supplied.
  • Install using your motorcycle manufacturer's service manual — follow the specified plate stacking order, bolt sequence and torque figures rather than tightening by feel.
  • Inspect the mating hardware while the clutch is apart: check the basket and inner hub for notching or grooves, and the pressure plate and steel plates for warping, scoring or heat discolouration. Replace worn parts, or the new friction plates will wear prematurely.
  • For wet clutches, use fresh oil that meets your manufacturer's specification and avoid energy-conserving oils containing friction modifiers, which can cause slip.
  • Bed the clutch in gently: ride moderately for the first period of use, avoiding hard launches, clutch slipping and full-throttle standing starts until the friction surfaces have mated.
  • Set cable free play or bleed the hydraulic system to specification after fitting, and re-check adjustment once the clutch has bedded in.
  • Handle friction plates with clean hands or gloves and keep them free of grease, brake cleaner and other contaminants before fitting.
  • Store unused kits flat in the original packaging, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and solvents.
