The EBC SRC038 is a Street Racer clutch kit built around aramid fibre friction plates, part of EBC's SRC range for riders who want firmer, more consistent clutch feel than a worn or standard set-up delivers.
It suits road and sport riders replacing tired plates, as well as anyone chasing improved engagement under harder use. Aramid fibre friction material is chosen for its resistance to heat and slip.
SRC038 is an application-specific part number. Check the EBC application catalogue against your make, model and year before ordering to confirm fitment.

- Confirm fitment against the EBC application catalogue for your exact make, model and year before installation.
- Have the kit fitted by a qualified motorcycle technician, following the instructions supplied with the kit and your workshop manual.
- Follow the vehicle manufacturer's torque figures and tightening sequence for the clutch basket and pressure plate fasteners — do not guess.
- Use fresh engine oil of the grade specified for your motorcycle; avoid oils carrying friction-modifier claims that are not JASO MA/MA2 rated for wet clutches.
- Inspect the clutch basket, pressure plate and springs for grooving, warping or wear while the clutch is apart, and replace worn components rather than reusing them.
- Bed the new plates in gently for the first period of riding — avoid hard launches, clutch slipping and heavy loads until engagement feels consistent.
- Check and adjust clutch cable free play (or hydraulic fluid level, as applicable) after fitting and again after the initial bedding-in period.
- Store unused plates flat, dry and in their packaging to prevent contamination, distortion or moisture damage.
- Keep friction surfaces free of grease, degreaser and solvents; contaminated plates should be replaced, not cleaned.
