Description

The Shinko E805 is the rear half of Shinko's E804/E805 dual sport tyre pairing, built for adventure and big-bore trail bikes that spend more time in the dirt than on the tar. The bias split is roughly 60% off-road and 40% on-road, so the classic big-block tread digs into loose surfaces while still holding a line on sealed roads.

This is the 150/70-B18 70Q tubeless (TL) rear fitment, a common size across adventure machinery. Four-ply nylon carcass construction and a tear-resistant compound help the tyre stand up to rocks, gravel and sharp edges, and the open block pattern clears mud and sheds water in the wet.

Suited to riders after a genuine off-road-biased adventure tyre without European pricing. DOT approved and sold individually.

Operations & maintenance

Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre fitter — never attempt to mount an adventure tyre with makeshift tools.
Check the directional rotation arrow on the sidewall and fit the tyre the correct way around.
Although rated tubeless (TL), spoked wheels that are not sealed require a suitable tube — confirm the correct setup with your fitter before installation.
Ride conservatively for the first few rides while the release agents wear off the tread surface and the tyre scrubs in, avoiding hard acceleration, braking and extreme lean angles.
Check and set pressures when the tyre is cold, using the pressures specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual or on the swingarm/chain-guard placard.
Lower pressures used for off-road traction should be returned to the recommended on-road pressures before riding at highway speeds.
Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, embedded stones, bulges or missing blocks, and have any damage assessed before riding.
Do not exceed the load and speed rating marked on the sidewall (70Q).
Replace the tyre once the tread reaches the wear indicators or the legal minimum tread depth in your state, whichever comes first.
Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and away from fuels, solvents, oils and running electric motors, which accelerate rubber degradation.
Do not use tyre dressings or silicone shine products on the tread — clean with mild soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
