Motorcycles, ATV's and UTV's are used in some of the harshest environments, dust filled air, mud and rain are all ideal environments for mechanical failure. The fuel filter is the fuel systems defence against contamination, from dirt and dust or particles in pump gas, over time your fuel filter will clog as it filtrates your fuel restricing flow and causing your fuel pump to work under additional stress which can cause premature failure. Replacing your fuel filter is inexpensive preventative maintenance which improves fuel quality, fuel flow and increases the life of your fuel pump. It is recommended to replace the fuel filter every 6-12 months dependent on application and usage.
