The DRC Air Valve Extension is a simple workshop and trailside accessory that screws onto your tyre's valve stem and gives you a 150mm flexible rubber hose to work with. It moves the connection point away from the rim, so an air chuck or pressure gauge can be attached without fighting for clearance.
It suits riders who regularly adjust tyre pressures and find the valve awkward to reach — particularly where brake discs, sprockets, rim locks or deep rim wells get in the way. The flexible hose can be bent to whatever angle is easiest, making it straightforward to operate with one hand.
A low-cost addition to a toolbox, tyre kit or race bag.

- Screw the extension onto the tyre valve stem by hand until it seats — do not over-tighten or use tools on the fitting.
- Attach the air chuck or pressure gauge to the free end of the hose, then inflate or check pressure as normal.
- Bend the hose only as far as needed to clear discs, sprockets and rim locks; avoid sharp kinks that could crease the rubber.
- Always verify the final pressure with a gauge after removing the extension, as a small amount of air can escape on disconnection.
- Remove the extension after use and refit the valve dust cap — it is intended for inflation and checking, not permanent fitment while riding.
- Wipe mud, sand and grit from both ends before storing so debris is not carried into the valve on the next use.
- Keep the rubber hose away from fuel, brake cleaner, chain lube and solvents, which can degrade it.
- Store in a tool roll or toolbox out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
- Inspect the hose and threads periodically for splits, perishing or damage, and replace the unit if it leaks or no longer seals.
