The DRC Exhaust Joint Gasket is a high-density replacement seal for the slip-joint between exhaust sections. Measuring 45mm outer diameter, 38mm inner diameter and 30mm wide, it re-seals the header-to-pipe connection so exhaust gas stays in the system and outside air stays out.
A crushed or blown joint gasket is a common cause of lost performance and popping on deceleration, so this is a routine service item for riders pulling the pipe off for maintenance, top-end work or a pipe swap. Check the outer diameter, inner diameter and width against the gasket you are replacing before ordering, as exhaust joint sizes vary between models.

- Confirm fitment before installing: measure the gasket you are replacing and check it against 45mm OD, 38mm ID and 30mm width.
- Treat exhaust joint gaskets as single-use — fit a new one every time the joint is separated, as the old gasket has already compressed to shape.
- Scrape and wire-brush all old gasket material, carbon and rust from the header spigot and the mating pipe before fitting, so the new gasket seats squarely.
- Fit the gasket dry and push it fully home into the joint; do not use silicone or RTV sealant unless your service manual specifically calls for it.
- Refit springs, clamps or bolts evenly and tighten to the manufacturer's torque specification — over-tightening can crush or distort the gasket.
- Run the engine to operating temperature, let it cool, then re-check clamp or spring tension after the first ride.
- Check for leaks by looking for soot streaks or black staining around the joint and listening for a ticking or blowing sound under load.
- Store spare gaskets flat in their packaging in a dry place; the material is brittle and can chip or crack if dropped or compressed.
