The Airoh Commander 2 is the second generation of Airoh's adventure helmet, built for riders who mix highway kilometres with dirt roads and trails. It carries over what made the original a favourite — a convertible design that can be set up three different ways — while moving to a new composite carbon shell, a reworked ventilation system developed in the wind tunnel, and the ASN and AEFR safety systems.

Vision is a standout: the extra-wide aperture visor gives a broad field of view on and off road, and it comes with the A3S automatic antifog system, a lock, and a Pinlock 120 XLT insert lens supplied in the box. Inside, a removable and washable Coolmax liner handles warm-weather riding, and double D-ring retention keeps the fastening simple and secure.

  • Wash the removable liner and cheek pads by hand in lukewarm water with a mild soap, then air dry in the shade — never machine dry, iron or use hot water.
  • Clean the shell and visor with lukewarm water and a mild soap using a soft cloth; avoid petrol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive products, which can damage the finish and the visor coatings.
  • Handle the Pinlock 120 XLT insert with care: wipe it gently with a soft damp cloth only, as the antifog surface scratches easily, and refit it so the silicone bead seals evenly around the visor.
  • Never wipe a dry visor covered in dust or insects — soak the debris first with a damp cloth to avoid scratching the scratch-resistant coating.
  • Check the visor mechanism and lock system regularly for smooth operation and secure engagement, and make sure the visor is fully latched before riding.
  • When changing between the helmet's configurations, make sure every screw and fitting is fully tightened and the components are seated correctly before setting off.
  • Always fasten the double D-ring by threading the strap through both rings and pulling it snug — do not fit aftermarket quick-release clips or ride with the strap loose.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from fuel and solvent vapours, and don't hang it on a mirror or handlebar where the lining can be crushed.
  • Do not paint, apply stickers or use adhesives on the shell, as some chemicals can weaken the composite structure.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no damage is visible.
