  • Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the finish.
  • Clean the visor (if fitted) with a dedicated lens cleaner or warm soapy water; never wipe a dry visor as this causes micro-scratches.
  • Remove and hand-wash any removable inner liner or cheek pads in lukewarm water with gentle detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinserting.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemicals, which degrade EPS foam and shell materials over time.
  • Do not paint, apply stickers, or use adhesive products on the shell without confirming compatibility with the manufacturer, as some solvents attack helmet construction.
  • Replace the helmet immediately after any impact, even if damage is not visible — EPS liner compression is often undetectable externally.
  • As a general guideline, helmets should be replaced after five years of regular use or seven years from manufacture date, whichever comes first, due to material degradation.
  • Do not store or transport the helmet by the chin strap, and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.
