  • Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth and mild soap dissolved in water; never use petrol, solvent-based cleaners or abrasive compounds, as these can damage the shell finish.
  • Clean the visor or face shield with a clean, damp cloth only — avoid paper towels or abrasive materials that can introduce fine scratches.
  • Allow the helmet to air-dry completely before storing; do not use hair dryers or direct heat sources.
  • Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuels and chemical vapours, all of which can degrade shell and liner materials over time.
  • Avoid hanging the helmet on a handlebar or mirror for extended periods — sustained localised pressure can deform the EPS liner.
  • Inspect the chin strap and buckle regularly for fraying, corrosion or any loss of function and replace if in doubt.
  • Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — EPS liner damage is internal and not always apparent.
  • As a general guideline, replace your helmet every five years from the date of manufacture or sooner if the shell, liner or retention system shows signs of wear or deterioration.
