CHAIN & BUILT-IN ALARM LOCK 120dB

The Lok-Up Chain & Built-In Alarm Lock pairs a heat-hardened steel chain with a lock body that sounds a loud alarm the moment the chain is disturbed, so an attempted theft draws attention rather than passing unnoticed. It is aimed at riders who park in the street, in shared garages or at work and want a single, self-contained deterrent that is both physical and audible.

The chain runs inside a fabric sleeve so it can be threaded around a wheel, swingarm or ground anchor without marking chrome or paintwork, and the electronics are weather-proofed for outdoor use. At 1.2 metres it is long enough to reach most fixed points while still being practical to carry.

Thread the chain through a fixed anchor point or through the rear wheel and swingarm, keeping the lock body and as much chain as possible off the ground so it cannot be struck against concrete.
Keep the fabric sleeve fitted over the chain at all times — it is what stops the links marking paintwork, chrome and wheel rims.
Before leaving the bike, confirm the alarm has armed and that the lock is fully closed and latched.
Disarm the alarm with the key before moving or handling the chain to avoid nuisance triggering.
Use a fresh lithium CR2 battery and replace it as soon as the alarm sounds weak or fails to arm; remove the battery if the lock will be stored unused for a long period.
After riding in rain or on salted or coastal roads, rinse road grime from the chain and lock, then dry it thoroughly before storing.
Store the lock dry rather than damp or coiled inside a wet sleeve, and keep it out of direct sunlight for long periods.
Apply a light spray of dry lubricant or lock-safe lubricant to the cylinder occasionally; avoid packing the keyway with heavy grease, which attracts grit.
Keep the spare keys somewhere safe and separate from the bike — the high-security cylinder means keys are not casually replaceable.
Do not use solvents, degreasers or high-pressure washers on the lock body, as these can force water past the seals and damage the electronics.
