Castrol Axle EPX 80W-90 is a multipurpose axle and gear oil supplied in a 1 litre bottle. It is intended for differentials, final drives and other driveline applications calling for an API GL-5 SAE 80W-90 lubricant.

The formulation is built around high load-carrying capability and film strength, so gears working under heavy loads and shock loading stay protected. Good thermal and oxidation stability helps resist deposit formation and oil thickening, supporting longer service life for both the oil and the components it protects.

Confirm your manufacturer's recommended specification, viscosity grade and fill capacity before use — only use where an API GL-5 SAE 80W-90 oil is specified.
Drain the old oil while the driveline is still warm so it flows freely and carries suspended contaminants out with it.
Clean the drain and fill plug areas before removing them so grit is not drawn into the housing, and replace crush washers or sealing rings where fitted.
Fill to the level specified by the manufacturer and torque plugs to the specified setting; do not overfill, as this can cause seal leakage and aeration.
Change the oil at the service intervals in your owner's handbook, and more often if the machine is ridden in dusty, wet or heavily loaded conditions.
Check for leaks and top up as required after the first ride following a change.
Do not mix with oils of a different specification, and avoid using GL-5 oil where the manufacturer calls for a different performance level, as this may not suit all components.
Store the sealed bottle upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and keep the cap on to prevent moisture and dirt contamination.
Wear gloves and avoid prolonged skin contact; wash off any splashes with soap and water.
Dispose of used oil and empty containers through a licensed waste oil collection point or council recycling facility — never pour oil into drains, soil or waterways.
