The Cardo Spirit HD Duo is a twin-unit Bluetooth communication pack for riders who want genuinely good in-helmet audio without paying flagship money. The two units pair to each other out of the box, making it a straightforward choice for a rider and pillion, or for two riders travelling together.

Audio is where the Spirit HD earns its keep in this price bracket. Large HD speakers, a dedicated processor and selectable sound profiles keep music, calls and navigation prompts clear at highway speed, while automatic volume control tracks the wind and traffic noise around you so you are not reaching for the buttons. A built-in FM radio with RDS covers the gaps where streaming will not reach.

It is waterproof, charges over USB Type-C with a useful fast-charge top-up, and takes software updates over the air through the Cardo Connect app — no cables, no laptop.

Charge both units fully before the first ride; a full charge takes up to 2 hours, and 20 minutes on the charger will give you roughly 2 hours of talk time if you are short on time.
Charge over USB Type-C from a standard phone charger or computer port.
Keep the units updated through the Cardo Connect app — updates install over the air, so no cable or computer is needed, though USB updating is also supported.
Use the Cardo Connect app to manage pairings, sound profiles, automatic volume control and your six FM presets.
Position the speakers directly over your ears in the helmet's speaker pockets and place the microphone in front of your mouth; poor placement is the most common cause of thin audio or weak call quality.
Check the helmet mount and adhesive or clamp fitting is secure before each ride, and refit the unit to the cradle until it clicks home.
The units are waterproof, so rain is not a problem, but wipe them dry before plugging in the USB-C port and let the port dry out fully before charging.
Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth only. Do not use solvents, petrol-based cleaners or alcohol, and keep cleaning products away from the speaker grilles and microphone.
Operate and store within the -20°C to 55°C range — avoid leaving the units in a hot car or in direct sun on a parked bike.
If you are storing the units for an extended period, top the battery up occasionally rather than leaving them flat.
