Cardo Freecom 4X Motorcycle Bluetooth Intercom - Single

The Cardo Freecom 4X is a mid-range Bluetooth communication system for riders who want rider-to-rider conversation, phone calls, GPS prompts and music without taking a hand off the bars. This is the single pack, supplied as one unit — a sensible choice for adding another rider to an existing group, or as a first headset that can later be paired with other Bluetooth intercoms.

Audio comes from JBL-engineered speakers with selectable sound profiles and automatic volume adjustment that tracks changing ambient noise as speed rises and falls. The always-on natural voice engine answers to "Hey Cardo", so music, calls and intercom can be handled by voice, with a control wheel on the unit when you prefer to do it by hand.

Waterproof construction, USB Type-C charging and over-the-air software updates through the Cardo Connect app make it well suited to touring, commuting and weekend group rides where up to four riders need to stay in contact.

Charge the unit fully before first use, using the supplied USB Type-C lead and a standard 5V source; a full charge takes up to two hours.
For a quick top-up before a ride, 20 minutes on charge returns around two hours of talk time.
Install the Cardo Connect app on your phone, register the unit, and check for over-the-air software updates before long trips — updates can also be applied over USB if preferred.
Mount the clamp with the speakers positioned directly over your ear canals for the best volume and clarity; reposition the speaker pockets rather than turning the volume up if audio sounds thin.
Run the microphone boom or wired mic close to the mouth and clear of the chin vent airflow to reduce wind noise.
The unit is waterproof, so rain and washdown spray are not a problem, but dry the exterior and the USB Type-C port with a soft cloth before plugging in to charge.
Clean the main unit and speakers with a soft, slightly damp cloth only. Avoid solvents, petrol, contact cleaners and alcohol-based sprays, and never submerge the unit to clean it.
Operate and store within -20°C to 55°C. Avoid leaving the unit on a helmet in direct sun or in a closed vehicle on hot days.
For extended storage, charge the battery, power the unit off and keep it somewhere cool and dry, recharging it periodically rather than leaving it flat for months.
Use Cardo mounting hardware and a genuine audio kit; forcing the clamp into a helmet with no channel, or trimming the helmet lining, can damage the helmet and the unit.
