Cardo Packtalk Edge 2nd Helmet JBL Audio Kit

The Cardo Packtalk Pro/Edge 2nd Helmet Kit fits out a second helmet with the same Sound by JBL audio you already ride with. It supplies the JBL speakers, microphones and mounting hardware so a single Packtalk Edge or Packtalk Pro unit can be clicked from one helmet to the next in seconds, instead of being unbolted and refitted each time.

It suits riders who run more than one lid — a full-face for the weekend and a flip-up or adventure helmet for commuting and touring — as well as anyone setting up a pillion's helmet. Both clamp and adhesive glue-plate mounting are included to suit different shell and liner shapes.

Please note: this is an audio and mounting kit only. The Packtalk communicator unit is not included.

Choose one mounting method per helmet: use the clamp bracket where there is a gap between the shell and the liner, or the adhesive glue plate on helmets with no usable gap.
Before fitting the glue plate, clean the helmet shell where it will sit, press it firmly into place and leave it undisturbed to bond before riding.
Seat the speakers in the helmet's ear pockets so they sit directly over your ears — move them slightly rather than turning the volume up if audio sounds thin.
Use the boom microphone with open-face and most flip-up helmets, and the wired microphone with full-face helmets; position the mic close to the corner of your mouth for the clearest calls and intercom.
Tuck speaker and microphone cabling under the helmet liner and clear of the neck roll so nothing pulls or chafes when you put the helmet on.
Slide the communicator onto the Air Mount until it locates properly, and check it is held firmly before setting off.
Remove the communicator from the Air Mount when parking or transporting the helmet, and keep the mount contacts clean and dry.
Wipe the speakers, microphone and mount with a lightly damp soft cloth only. Do not soak them, and avoid solvents, petrol or alcohol-based cleaners on the components or helmet liner.
Store the helmet and kit in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and dry the interior thoroughly after wet rides before storing.
Do not modify or drill the helmet shell to fit any part of this kit.
