The Biltwell Gringo SV is a full-face helmet that pairs classic, retro-inspired shell styling with a modern safety build. It runs an injection-moulded ABS outer shell over a dual-density EPS liner, and comes fitted with a CE-certified polycarbonate face shield on rugged detented hinges, so you can ride with it cracked open at low speed for extra airflow.

It suits riders on cruisers, customs, retro roadsters and cafe racers who want a period-correct look without giving up ventilation or comfort. Front, side and rear vent ports plus adjustable brow vents move air through the shell, while the removable fleece Lycra liner and cheek pads keep the fit comfortable and washable.

Finished in Metallic Cherry Red, and certified to ECE R22.06 for Australian road use.

Check the fit before every ride: the helmet should sit level with no pressure points, and the double D-ring strap should be pulled snug so you cannot roll the helmet forward off your head.
Thread the strap correctly through both D-rings every time — the red pull tab is for quick release when you remove the helmet, not for securing it.
Clean the ABS shell with a soft cloth and mild soapy water only. Avoid petrol, solvents, thinners and harsh household cleaners, which can attack the shell, paint and EPS.
Clean the polycarbonate shield with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth. Never wipe it dry, and avoid alcohol-based or ammonia cleaners, which will damage the anti-fog and anti-scratch treatments.
Soak stubborn bugs off the shield with a damp cloth laid over the surface rather than scrubbing, and replace the shield once it is scratched enough to distort vision at night.
Remove the comfort liner and cheek pads periodically and wash them by hand in mild detergent, then air dry away from direct heat before refitting. Never machine dry.
Keep the vent ports clear of dirt and insects so airflow through the shell is not restricted.
Check the shield hinge screws and washers occasionally and nip them up if they loosen. If you fit a replacement hardware set, tighten firmly by hand without overtightening the plastic.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and away from fuel, exhaust fumes and solvent vapours. Do not hang it on a mirror or handlebar, and do not leave it on a hot seat or tank.
Do not paint, drill, apply stickers with aggressive adhesives, or otherwise modify the shell or EPS, as this can compromise protection and the ECE certification.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact or drop, even if there is no visible damage — EPS crushes once and does not recover.
