The Biltwell Lane Splitter is the brand's full-face road helmet, first engineered a decade ago to meet European safety standards and now certified to ECE 22.06, making it road legal in Australia. Its injection-moulded ABS shell carries Biltwell's signature aggressive shape, finished here in a Gloss Olive Green colourway.
Underneath the styling is a genuinely feature-rich helmet: a dual-density EPS safety liner, front, side and rear ventilation, a hand-stitched removable comfort liner, and a clear polycarbonate shield with accurate optics and simple hinge mechanics. Moulded ear pockets leave room for select drop-in communication systems.
It suits riders who want a classic full-face silhouette with current certification — equally at home on a naked bike, a cafe racer or a daily commute.

- Measure the circumference of your head just above the ears and brow and check it against Biltwell's size chart before ordering; the helmet should sit snugly with no movement when you shake your head.
- Always fasten the double D-ring chin strap on every ride — use the red pull tab only to release it, never as a fastening point.
- Remove the comfort liner and cheek pads for cleaning; hand wash in cool water with a mild soap, rinse well and air dry away from direct heat or sunlight before refitting.
- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth and warm water with a little mild soap only. Avoid petrol, solvents, degreasers, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive polishes, which can attack the ABS shell and the shield coatings.
- Clean the shield by soaking off insects and grit with a damp cloth first, then wiping gently — dry wiping will scratch the anti-scratch and anti-fog treatments.
- Remove the shield with the hinge screws to clean behind it; check the aluminium washers and stainless screws are firm but not overtightened when refitting.
- The shield hinge detents let you ride with the shield cracked open at low speed for extra airflow — close it fully at higher speeds.
- After riding in rain, let the helmet dry naturally with the liner in place and the vents open; never use a hairdryer, heater or direct sun.
- Store it in a helmet bag in a cool, dry place, out of sunlight and away from fuel and chemical vapours. Don't hang it on a mirror or handlebar.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if there is no visible damage — the EPS liner compresses once and does not recover.
- Check the removable BioFoam chin bar spoiler and chin pad periodically and replace worn liner components rather than riding with a loose fit.
