Gringo S ECE 22.06... Gloss White / Black Tracker

The Biltwell Gringo S is a long-running favourite reworked around the newer ECE 22.06 standard, with a redesigned fit and an updated shield mechanism. It keeps the pared-back, retro full-face silhouette Biltwell is known for, now built on three shell sizes instead of two so the helmet sits closer to true across the size run.

It suits riders on cruisers, customs, scramblers and classic roadsters who want a simple, well-finished full-face without vents, spoilers or graphics-heavy styling. The shield uses the same anti-rattle closure as the Lane Splitter, and the hinge hardware holds firm detents so you can ride with the shield cracked open at low speed for extra airflow.

This is the Gloss White with Black Tracker colourway — a clean white shell with a black tracker-stripe graphic over the crown and chin bar.

Check fit before first ride: measure your head circumference about 25 mm above the brow and choose the size that sits snug with no pressure points, as the Gringo S uses three shell sizes and fit varies between them.
Fasten the double D-ring strap firmly every ride; use the red pull tab to release it, and never ride with the tab used as the primary fastening.
The hinge detents will hold the shield part-open at low speed for extra airflow — close it fully before riding at speed.
Clean the shell and shield with a soft cloth, warm water and mild soap only. Keep petrol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive cloths away from the polycarbonate shield and ABS shell, as they attack the plastic and the anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings.
Let dried insects or grime soak with a damp cloth before wiping so you do not drag grit across the shield.
Remove the comfort liner and cheek pads and wash them gently by hand in cool water with a mild detergent, then air dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not machine dry, and refit them fully before riding.
Periodically check the hinge screws are snug — the anodised washers and stainless screws can be swapped for other finishes, so re-tighten carefully after any change without over-torquing.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry place in a helmet bag, out of direct sunlight and away from petrol and solvent fumes, which can degrade the EPS liner.
Do not paint the shell, apply solvent-based adhesives or stickers, or modify the EPS liner or ear pockets beyond fitting compatible audio accessories.
Replace the helmet after any impact, even if there is no visible damage, and replace the shield once scratching starts to distort your vision.
