  • Ensure the motorcycle's ignition is off and the circuit is de-energised before removing or fitting the bulb.
  • Verify your vehicle's electrical system runs at 6V before fitting — installing a 6V bulb in a 12V system will cause immediate failure.
  • Handle the glass envelope with a clean cloth or gloves; skin oils can create hot spots on incandescent glass and shorten globe life.
  • Align the BA15S pins with the socket slots, press in and rotate a quarter-turn clockwise until the bulb locks in place.
  • After fitting, test the indicator function at both the switch and visually before riding.
  • If the bulb fails prematurely, check the socket for corrosion, loose contacts, or incorrect voltage — address the root cause before fitting a replacement.
  • Store spare bulbs in their packaging in a dry location, away from impact or pressure that could crack the glass.
