A replacement indicator globe for motorcycles running a 12 volt, 23 watt BA15S fitting, also known as the 1156 type. It suits riders replacing a blown or dimming turn-signal bulb without changing the existing indicator housing or wiring.

The BA15S base is a single-contact bayonet cap with straight-aligned locating pins, so it drops into any standard BA15S socket with a push-and-twist fitment. Check your bike's globe chart or the old bulb before ordering, as visually similar fittings such as BAU15S use offset pins and will not seat correctly.

  • 12V 23W rating for standard motorcycle indicator circuits
  • BA15S single-contact bayonet base (1156 type)
  • Direct replacement for stock indicator globes using the same fitting
  • Sold as a spare or repair part — no wiring changes required

  • Turn the ignition off and let a recently used bulb cool before removing it.
  • Remove the indicator lens, then push the bulb in and twist anti-clockwise to release the bayonet base; fit the replacement by pushing in and twisting clockwise until it locks.
  • Confirm the old bulb's pins are level with each other (BA15S) rather than offset (BAU15S) before fitting, as the offset type will not seat properly.
  • Handle the globe by its metal base and keep the glass clean and free of grease and fingerprints.
  • Check the socket contacts for corrosion or moisture and clean them if the globe has been failing early or flickering.
  • Refit the lens and its seal correctly so water cannot enter the housing.
  • After fitting, test both left and right indicators — a fast flash rate usually means a bulb is blown or the wattage does not match the circuit.
  • Store spares in their packaging in a dry place, and avoid dropping or knocking the globe as the filament is fragile.
