The Bridgestone Battlecross X31 is an off-road competition tyre built for intermediate (medium) terrain — the loamy, part-hardpack surfaces that make up most motocross tracks and trail loops. This listing is for the 120/80-19 (63M) rear fitment, suited to 19-inch rear wheels on full-size motocross and enduro machines.

Compared with the model it replaces, the X31 lifts traction, braking and cornering grip, improves impact absorption and extends knob durability, while widening the range of conditions it can handle. Bridgestone's Castle Block convex knob design and Anti-Degradation Fin construction are the two technologies doing most of that work on the rear carcass.

Competition use only — this tyre is not approved for use on public roads.

  • Rear motocross/enduro tyre for intermediate (medium) terrain
  • 120/80-19 size with 63M load and speed rating
  • Castle Block™ convex knobs designed to double leading-edge contact area across lean angles
  • Anti-Degradation Fin™ construction to help cool the tyre and hold performance consistent through a moto
  • Improved traction, braking and cornering grip over the previous Battlecross model
  • Better impact absorption and knob durability, with a wider usable terrain range
  • Not homologated for public road use — off-road and closed-course only
  • One Bridgestone Battlecross X31 120/80-19 63M rear tyre

  • Have the tyre fitted by a qualified tyre fitter using correct tyre levers and rim protection — off-road carcasses are stiff and easy to damage or pinch during fitting.
  • Observe the rotation direction marking on the sidewall when mounting; a rear fitted backwards will lose drive and braking bite.
  • Use a new, correctly sized tube and rim tape whenever the tyre is changed, and make sure the tube is lightly inflated and free of twists before seating the beads.
  • Check that rim locks are properly tensioned before riding — low off-road pressures allow the tyre to spin on the rim without them.
  • Set and check pressures cold, before riding, to the pressure recommended by your motorcycle manufacturer for the surface and load you are running.
  • Scrub in new knobs with a few easy laps or a gentle first section of trail before pushing for grip.
  • After each ride, wash off mud and grit, then inspect for torn or chunked knobs, cuts, embedded stones and sidewall damage; replace the tyre if the carcass is cut or the knobs are badly torn.
  • Avoid petrol, solvents and tyre shine products on the tread — they can soften the compound.
  • Store spare tyres flat or upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and sharp objects.
  • This is a competition tyre and is not approved for public road use — do not fit it to a road-registered bike for street riding.
