The Bridgestone Battlecross X31 is a rear motocross tyre built for intermediate (medium) terrain — the loamy, mixed-surface tracks and trails that make up most riding days. This listing covers the 100/90-19 (57M) rear fitment, a common size for 19-inch motocross and enduro rear wheels.
Bridgestone's Castle Block design uses convex blocks shaped to roughly double the leading-edge contact area through the full range of lean angles, while Anti-Degradation Fins help the tyre shed heat and hold consistent performance as the moto goes on. - Have fitting carried out by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician; check that the bead is seated evenly all the way around and that the rim lock is correctly tensioned.
- Observe any rotation direction arrow marked on the sidewall when fitting the tyre to the wheel.
- Scrub the tyre in gently for the first few laps — the mould release agent left on a new tyre reduces grip until it wears off.
- Check and set pressures cold before every ride, using the pressure your motorcycle manufacturer recommends for the conditions and terrain.
- After each ride, inspect for cuts, torn or chunked knobs, embedded stones and any carcass damage; replace the tyre if the casing is compromised.
- Wash with mild soap and water only — avoid solvents, fuel and silicone-based tyre dressings, which can degrade the rubber and reduce grip.
- Store mounted or unmounted tyres in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and chemical contact.
- Retire the tyre once the knobs are significantly worn, rounded or torn, as traction and braking performance drop away well before the block bases disappear.
