The Bridgestone Battlax Scooter SC2 in 160/60R14 M/C 65H is a tubeless radial rear tyre built for large-wheel and maxi-scooters used on the road and for daily commuting. It carries a tread pattern derived from Bridgestone's Battlax Hypersport S21, a design chosen for its block rigidity, which supports stable handling and clear feedback through corners.
The rear tyre uses a three-layer compound (3LC) that pairs a harder centre section for linear handling and long wear with softer shoulder compounds for dry cornering edge grip. Bridgestone increased the silica content over its earlier silica-rich compounds to lift wet-road performance, while mileage is intended to match the previous Battlax Scooter SC.
Suited to riders who want sportier feel and confidence from a scooter tyre without giving up commuting durability. Sold individually as a rear tyre only.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — tubeless radial tyres require correct bead seating and the right equipment.
- Check that the size, load index and speed rating suit your scooter before fitting, and follow the vehicle manufacturer's fitment recommendations.
- Inspect the rim before fitting: a tubeless tyre relies on an undamaged, clean, corrosion-free rim and a serviceable valve to hold air. Fit a new valve at the same time where practical.
- If the sidewall carries a rotation arrow, make sure the tyre is fitted the correct way around.
- Ride conservatively for the initial period after fitting so the surface releases wear off and the tyre scrubs in before hard cornering, braking or acceleration.
- Check cold inflation pressures regularly and before long rides, using the pressures specified by your scooter's manufacturer. Under-inflation causes overheating, poor handling and rapid wear.
- Do not exceed the load or speed capability marked on the sidewall.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded stones or nails, bulges, cracking and uneven wear, and replace the tyre when the tread reaches the wear indicators or the legal minimum tread depth.
- Have any puncture assessed professionally — sidewall damage and larger punctures cannot be safely repaired.
- Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush only. Keep petrol, solvents, brake cleaner and tyre-shine dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and chemicals.
- Re-check pressures after the scooter has been standing for an extended period, and inspect for flat-spotting or ageing before returning to the road.
