The Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring BT46 is the successor to the long-serving BT45, a bias-ply tyre that spent more than two decades as a default choice for touring riders. Bridgestone has carried that character across to the BT46 and rebuilt it around current compound and construction technology, with the clear gain over the old tyre being wet-weather performance — achieved without trading away the dry handling and wear resistance the BT45 was known for.
This listing is for the front fitment in 90/90-18 M/C 51H tubeless. It suits classic and modern touring machines, naked bikes and vintage sports bikes running an 18-inch front wheel, and is aimed at riders who cover distance in mixed conditions and want steady feedback and predictable mileage rather than track-focused grip.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician using purpose-built fitting equipment — never attempt to lever a motorcycle tyre on at home.
- Check that 90/90-18 M/C 51H suits your rim width and that the load index and speed symbol meet or exceed the requirements in your motorcycle's owner's manual.
- As a tubeless tyre, fit only to a rim in sound condition with an undamaged bead seat, and renew the valve and valve core at every tyre change.
- UM (tube-type) approval applies to certain BT46 sizes only — confirm the sidewall marking and Bridgestone's fitment data before fitting an inner tube to this tyre.
- Observe any rotation arrow and fitment markings on the sidewall when mounting.
- Ride conservatively during the initial run-in so the new tread surface can scrub in before hard cornering, braking or acceleration.
- Check and adjust inflation pressures when the tyre is cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer rather than the maximum figure moulded on the sidewall.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded objects, bulges, uneven wear and remaining tread, and replace before the tread wear indicators are reached.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, solvents, oils, brake cleaner and silicone tyre dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, chemicals and ozone sources such as electric motors.
