The Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring BT46 is the successor to the long-serving BT45, a bias-ply tyre that spent more than two decades as a default choice for touring riders. The BT46 keeps that all-round street brief — comfort, mileage and wet-weather confidence — while bringing Bridgestone's newer pattern and compound development to the range.
This listing is for the front tyre in 100/90-19 M/C 57H, tubeless construction. It suits touring machines and vintage or modern-classic sports bikes running a 19-inch front wheel. The front tread uses an inverted V-shape pattern that manages the working forces through the contact patch, helps keep wear even across the life of the tyre, and gives clear feedback when turning in and holding a line.
Wet performance is improved over the BT45 without giving up the dry handling and wear resistance the older tyre was known for.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician using the correct machine and lubricant — do not attempt to lever it on at home.
- Fit in line with the rotation arrow marked on the sidewall; a front tyre fitted backwards will not perform as designed.
- If you are fitting to a spoked or tube-type rim, confirm this size is approved for UM (tube-type) use and always fit a new tube of the correct size rather than reusing an old one.
- Ease into the first few rides and build up gradually: avoid hard braking, sharp acceleration and full lean angles until the release agents on the new tread have scrubbed off.
- Check and set cold inflation pressures to the pressures specified by your motorcycle's manufacturer, and re-check at least fortnightly and before any long ride — pressures must be read cold, not after riding.
- Do not exceed the load and speed limits indicated by the 57H marking, and take care not to overload the bike when touring two-up with luggage.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded stones, bulges, uneven wear or sidewall damage, and replace once the tread wear indicators are reached.
- In the wet, allow extra stopping distance and be gentle with throttle and brakes until the tyre is up to working temperature.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, electric motors and any petrol, oils or solvents.
- Clean with mild soapy water and rinse off; keep silicone tyre shine and solvent-based dressings off the tread and shoulders as they can reduce grip.
